Description

Regimental Colour (bandera sencilla) of a battalion of the Royal Regiment of Artillery (1737). This Regiment was created on 2nd May 1710 by the Real Ordenanza para la Dirección y Servicio de la Artillería; creación de un Regimiento, sueldos, fuero preeminencias, grados y proporciones de empleos (Royal Ordinance for the Direction and Service of the Artillery; creation of a Regiment etc.). Their initial King's Colour (bandera coronela) was white as those of the Infantry but adding some artillery elements. A King's Colour and eight Regimental Colours were granted, for the three initial battalions.

Previously, a 1707 Royal Decree of Philip V said:

...y es mi voluntad que cada Cuerpo traiga la bandera coronela blanca con la cruz de Borgoña, según el estilo de mis tropas, a la que he mandado añadir dos castillos y dos leones en los cuatro blancos y cuatro coronas que cierran las puntas de aspas.
i.e.
...and it is my will that each Corps bears a white King's Colour with the cross of Burgundy, according to the style of my troops, to which I have ordered to add two castles and two lions in the four blank spaces and four crowns which close the saltire's tips.
The third Battalion was disbanded in 1721 and its Colours destroyed. Later on, in 1727, the Colours are renewed and the Regiment receives a white King's Colour and five blue Regimental Colours. These Colours were still being used in 1737. Sources:
